Call for entries for Kemppi Australia’s 2026 Art of Welding Competition
Kemppi Australia has launched its 2026 Art of Welding Competition, inviting welders, artists and metalworking enthusiasts to demonstrate their creativity through original metalwork creations.
The competition celebrates the artistic possibilities of welding, with entrants encouraged to submit works including sculptures, decorative pieces, motifs, patterned designs and other fabricated objects.

Since its inception in 2020, the Art of Welding Competition has established itself as a highly anticipated annual event, drawing entries from across Australia and New Zealand.
The competition continues to attract a broad range of participants, from professional metal artists and tradespeople to apprentices, educators and hobbyists.
“What makes this competition special is the range of people who take part. From apprentices taking their first steps in the trade to experienced artists and fabricators, the quality and imagination of the entries never cease to amaze us,” said Stuart Orr, Sales Director, Kemppi Australia.
The 2026 competition once again features a dedicated Amateur category, ensuring participants of all experience levels have the opportunity to be recognised. A total of four prizes will be awarded, including a prize specifically for amateur entrants.
Winners will receive a selection of premium Kemppi products, including welding equipment, helmets, gloves and apparel.
The competition is open to residents of Australia and New Zealand aged 18 years and over, with entries closing on Wednesday, 30 September 2026.
